Background: The United Soccer Athletes (USA) Soccer Club was founded in 1998 by a group of parents in Holland, MI who wanted club-level soccer made available to their children.

Our Mission:  To provide high-quality, high-competition soccer to area youth.

Our Values: To pursue our mission while fostering high character & sportsmanship in our players, embracing the development of our youth into well-rounded citizens, maximizing access to the Club, ensuring high financial value for our families.

Our Guiding Principle: In the best interests of the kids.

Our Method: In keeping with our values and mission, we strive to maximize access to club-level soccer for area players.  While focusing on building individual and team soccer skills and performance we maintain a constant eye on building complete athlete citizens.  An underlying concentration of all our Club activities is to foster player character by emphasizing sportsmanship and dedication while encouraging them to be involved with their schools, churches, and community.

Volunteer Run - We are a volunteer-run, 501c3 not-for-profit corporation.  As volunteer parents, neighbors and friends, we have a vested interest in creating the best possible experience for our children. This meshes well with both our mission (by keeping the cost affordable) and with our guiding principle (by maintaining a pure focus on promoting our players).

Because we are 100% volunteer run, we do not "provide" coaches or team managers, but instead encourage and facilitate (and train) parental involvement. Get involved to truly make memories for your child!   Each team is responsible for its own best experience and interests. Our parents are the invisible "team" that make their child's team successful. We have a vested interest in our children's team, and we step up and involve ourselves to the extent we are able. If issues arise that need help beyond the parents' ability or resources, USA board members and/or other coaches and managers will do their best to support your needs.

Positive, Supportive Atmosphere - USA insists on positive, encouraging behavior from coaches, from parents, and from players during practices, games, and from the sidelines. This models the same good attitude and good sportsmanship that we will develop and expect from our players as well. We continue to grow and develop in our coaching staff and methods so that we can nurture our children in their personal and soccer skill development, and their enjoyment of the game.
